Effect of Water Changes Calculator
This calculator shows how the concentration of a given substance falls or rises with repeated water changes. It can be used for substances that you are trying to remove (such as nitrate) or substances that you are trying to add (such as calcium).

Accumulation Between Water Changes*:
ppm
* Enter the rise (+) or drop (-) in concentration of the substance that occurs in the system between water changes.
Concentration in Make-Up Water*:
ppm
* Enter the concentration of the substance in your make-up water. For example, 0 for nitrate or 400 for calcium.
First Water Change Performed Immediately*
* Check this box if the first water change will be performed immediately, before any further accumulation of the substance.
